JOSTRA was started in the beautiful, colourful autumn of 1995 out of a strong desire to work and create something valuable, lasting and sustainable. In the beginning, there were four of us.

Our mission focused on two interrelated elements:

• Spiritual – to create opportunities and conditions for people to work and earn a living.
• Business – to earn profit by meeting the needs of our clients as best we can.

From the very beginning, we have been seeking to control processes rather than people, and to cultivate new leaders rather than followers; we don’t look backward, we look forward.

We are grateful to the Lithuanian Institute of Philosophy and Sociology for housing the young company in the first years of its existence.
